There’s something special about the community at USF. Everyone is so caring (and I’m involved in a lot of activities so have experienced the community in depth). I know there is always someone I can turn to for help and that has made me a better person. There’s so much about USF I love, especially the people. It feels like a family.” — Adilynn Girardot ’23, Nursing major

Being a commuter

“At first, I was worried that being a commuter meant I would miss out, but honestly, I’m getting the full college experience at USF. USF makes it easy for commuters to be involved and I’ve made the most of it.”

Her campus participation

“I’m involved in leadership as a Peer Minister, a Student Activities Council coordinator, and a First Year Experience mentor. I’m also active in Praise and Worship and different clubs. There’s so much available, you just have to choose to do it.

Scholarship support

“I pay for college on my own. In addition to working at the hospital, I wait tables at a restaurant during the summer, so I’m very grateful for the merit scholarship I receive from USF. It helps me so much and allows me to focus on school.
